The goal of the Runner Friendly Business designation is to provide RRCA members with a way to recognize local businesses that support their running community.
A Runner Friendly Business:
- Hosts group runs and offers discounts to local running club members.
- Serves as a pre- or post-run meeting spot and shares their parking log during non-business hours.
- Sponsors locally-owned races including in-kind donations, publicity, and more.
- Serves as a safe place that runners can stop at if they need to use the phone, get out of unsafe weather, fill a water bottle to prevent dehydration, and use a restroom.
How to Earn the Designation
- Runner friendly businesses should be willing to hang the RRCA Runner Friendly Business static window decals in a window letting runners know the business supports the running community and is a safe place for runners in times of need.
- Businesses or RRCA members are encouraged to purchase RRCA Runner Friendly Business window decals and designate local businesses as runner friendly.
- Official Runner Friendly Communities receive complementary Runner Friendly Business window decals to give to business partners.
